Ssor

Ssor

Ssor is unquestionably the water deity. He is attributed absolute control over oceans, seas, rivers, and other bodies of water. Most depictions of him show a strong young man wearing armor wielding a Kraken’s tentacle in one hand and the shell of a dragon turtle as a shield.

He is originally mentioned in the First Myth 1:12
“From the abyss was borne Ssor,
and he made all the fish and sea creatures.”

Alignment: Chaotic, Neutral
Weapon: Whip or Shield
Domains: Chaos, Destruction, LIberation, Travel, Water, Storms(Subdomain)

Ssor appears to be a relative of Semmelroth, and is one of the 3 gods who was not forged. Ssor is often depicted, especially among sea-faring folk, as harsh and vengeful but also generous. It is thought that Ssor’s most devout followers are actually plucked from the grasp of Rathunde and brought to serve him in his own palace. Although not overtly evil, many stories depict Ssor as an enemy of Semmelroth. Some have attributed this to the jealousy that is often characteristic of Ssor while others suggest that he is, in fact, the more powerful diety.
